So as our SWFL continues to grow and take shape, it does not come to my surprise that our shows are getting bigger and bigger. Guy Clarke, founder of DIRTY HOUSE ENTERTAINMENT, announces EMF which will have 30+ DJ's, 3 rooms showcasing different genres, professional dancers, lazer lighting, and massive sound.  Performers are being announced in phases, and the first phase just hit this week...

This show offers local talent to showcase their skills and pushes the EDM envelope farther here in SWFL. This scene has gone through some growing pains these past couple of months, some good, some bad, and finally SWFL gets another massive event to send the message to those who doubt or want to destroy our scene... that we are ALIVE and WELL.

HOW TO PAINT FAILURE

DAYGLOW AFTER PARTY @ ALE MARY'S, Sept. 16th, 2011

First and foremost, my sincerest apologies to those came out to support me last night at ALE MARY's and for the unfortunate violence that took place against our lovely friend Chani and her crew.

Words cannot describe the level of disappointment, disgust, resentment, and sadness that I experienced last night. So before the bullshit rumors start flowing, I am going to step up to the plate, and call it how it really is.

Before I begin, let me get something straight off my chest....


LES BANK$ is a fucking a$$hole...


.... and here is why....


#1 -- He is the one who threw the ALE MARY's party, and turned around BEHIND all our backs and went to OLYMPIA to DJ.... go ahead, take a moment to digest that one.

#2 -- Not only does he abandon his own party, but he leaves US the DJ's to resolve UNPAID security, staff, etc. We are DJ's, our job is to play GREAT music, not handle your UNPAID bills asshole !!!

#3 -- Some mass text "ANONYMOUSLY" goes out undermining the ALE MARY's party, saying that our shit was going to get shutdown, and people just split and headed to OLYMPIA.

NOW.... throughout this entire 3 hours of hell, not ONCE did LES call or text me back a fucking message to let me and the rest of us know what the fuck is going on. But I put two in two together, and realized that LES figured out that he was not going to make his money at ALE MARY's and took the only parachute in the burning plane and jumped out grinning.

Well, I got news for LES and every other asshole who aspires to become a DJ or Promoter in this town...

"IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO SHIT, DO IT RIGHT, PAY YOUR DJ'S, AND MAN UP WHEN YOU FUCK UP. Shitty promoting, undercutting, undermining, compulsive lying, back-stabbing, non-paying, self-absorbed, egotistical, irresponsible, unloyal, and deceiving tactics are just a few words that do not come close to describing how poisonous LES and other recent cluster fuck promoters are to any EDM scene, especially our growing SWFL scene"

#4 -- Lastly, my thoughts and prayers go out to Chani and her friends who reportedly got jumped in the parking lot while waiting for ALE MARY's to open up. Chani and her friends have been extremely instrumental in building the SWFL scene from the grassroots. HAD THERE BEEN PROPER SECURITY AND BETTER PLANNING, shit like this would have never happend !!!

So by now my blood is boiling, I went to OLYMPIA and only to be greeted by the man himself... LES BANKS with a "FUCK YOU, GET OUT MY FACE, AND GET OFF THE PROPERTY" warm welcoming.... guilty conscience, EH??

And after several minutes of him trying to convince me of his lies, I gave him a nice warm slice of reality about how much damage he is causing to the scene, the dj's, the fans with his bullshit events and cut-throat tactics.

Quick history lesson.... I have been NOTHING SHORT of a good friend to LES, I never let him down, always gave my honest opinion, I always came to support and DJ at his parties (AND NEVER SEEN A DIME), and always been a person he could trust, whenever he was a bind I would go out of my way to help him -- and I did that all in good faith that he would show the love back and respect me at the very least...

Apparently that was too much to ask for from him...

But when you think matters couldn't get even more fucked up, he turns around and throw MIKE ZINK under the bus saying that HE was put in charge and that MIKE... and i quote...

"It's all my fault that I put MIKE's stupid druken ass in charge of anything last night.  I should have known better than to leave and idiot in charge" 

WOW.... What are friends for??  I can only imagine how much shit is being said behind my back, and I am virtually no one to LES.

But LES eventually gave me a half ass apology last night for his "lack of proper management" but the truth is, it goes beyond "management" he trampled over so many basic principles, values, friendships, and professional code of ethics that every time I think of last night, my stomach turns.

If you are one of the "skeptics" and do not believe that all this shit went down, then ask yourself one question... why would he apologize for "the issues" last night then? (see below)

It's moments like these, that really makes me want to just give up on building a scene out here... but honestly, had it not been for the RabbitHoles, the Reality Checks, the official DAYGLOW (willie beamin), and other awesome events that were well nurtered by experienced promoters, I would have just given up on SWFL and moved back to the other coast. 

However, it's the expressions on the faces of the fans, the memories, the pictures, videos, and friendships that are formed at these events that honestly keep me spinning my records... because i guarantee you that it isn't for the money or the fame.

So thank YOU, the fans, for your love and support !!!

DJ TELSO will be at the DAYGLOW AFTER PARTY along with SWFL favorites DJ LES BANK$, MIKE ZINK, and S!KK BEATZ !!!  So when all you party people think it's time to go home after after you have been transformed into a SMURF take your ass to ALE MARY'S where the amazing good times will carry on...

Party will rocks till 6am, make sure you get there early -- capacity is about 600, and there are already 2000 of you that bought tickets to DAYGLOW, first come first serve :-) But please drive safe to our event.

REALITY AFTER REALITY CHECK, YEP... AGAIN !!!!



          

              

Once again, JC PRODUCTIONS and the REALITY CHECK crew have pulled off yet another successfull show.  The amount of attention paid to the details were completely unreal this time, and given the circumstances that they had to switch locations last minute due to recent bad weather which essentially flooded the last ranch, these guys did an amazing job to make the experience for the fans amazing and drama-free.

My hat (or should i say headphones!?) goes off to Brad and Rob, who overcame some real hurdles to make this party happen.  I say that as a friend, but also as one professional to another.  This scene has seen its fair share of fucked up promoting and bullshit shows... but these two guys are going to make big things happen here in SWFL, and hopefully grow beyond this area code !!!

This show evolved from a one room show to a two room extravaganza, with full sound and lighting in BOTH rooms, and this ranch also included a small pool, bonfire, and plenty of chill areas for people to vibe out in.  It's no wonder that every person I talked to that night had a fucking blast :-)

But last but definitely NOT least.... the DJ's that played this show (including myself -- hehehe) were nothing short of HOLYFUCKINGSHITWTF... and despite all the awesome shit mentioned above, this is truly what made the night extremely special, was the grade-A DJ's that kept the floor moving all night without a single fucking hitch.

So for those who had no idea what EDM was all about, or went to other shows in town or abroad, or even the haters who wrote all over facebook that we were going to get shutdown.... well, you all got a REALITY CHECK... again.

Oh yeah, and one more thing... I bumped in the our furry friend JACK "THE RAVE RABBIT" and he said to keep on the lookout for the next RABBIT HOLE... the only hint he would give me is... "that its coming real soon, and it will be so good -- it will be scary?? I got some speculation, but I will surely keep all you EDM heads updated as soon as I hear from the party rabbit himself !!!vv

WHEN ART & MUSIC COMBINE...

ALPHA PROMOTIONS is now hosting "CROSSOVER" @ Space39, a trendy lounge in the heart of downtown Fort Myers.  Each week Space39 features a different local or national artist, while the amazing vibe is conjured up by the resident DJ J!ZMO and special guests.

This coming up week, I have been asked to play at this upscale venue and I invite you all to come join me.  There is absolutely NO COVER, free hookah, and drink specials that are soft on your budget.  There is plenty of seating to lounge on while you sip your martini -- oh yeah, did I mention they have a FULL LIQUOR BAR !?

So if you have yet to stop by, definitely make your rounds this week.  If you've already been, then I already know you will be there because it's the best industry night in SWFL.  I will also be handing out limited quantities of my latest mix for your ear-joyment :-)

So it's about that time again, when an awesome event is needed !!!  July was a realllly bad month for our EDM scene since the epic fail of the GRID, the police crackdowns at local bars and clubs for underage drinking, and the recent SWFL politics have been real shitty.

But the show must go on, and the REALITY CHECK crew have got the knowledge, skills, and support from the local EDM scene to make it happen again !!!  They are throwing a "Back 2 School" party "Nerds and School Girls" Edition catering to the return of the college party crowd !!! 

And just like last time, REALITY CHECK will provide you with that unique venue that is Jack's Ranch. Brad, Robert, Roy and JC of JC PRODUCTIONS (the founder of the Rabbit Hole) as always will make sure you enjoy high quality sound and lights to bring your experience to the next level in this one of a kind event.

As always, there will be restrooms available, chill areas to sit and give your feet a break from all the dancing you will be doing that night, food and drinks available.

However, each person is allowed one (1) "LUNCHBOX" with a drink/food for free :-)

THE NEW SOUND OF RIO @ TUCAS LOUNGE

All I can say is .... BRAZILLIAN PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO PARTY !!!  Tucas Lounge is Brazillian Bar which also serves the best brazillian food in town and has a spacious dancefloor with full sound and lighting.  We even have FOUR exclusive drinks made for our night, so when u come ask for the DJ special.

THE NEW SOUND OF RIO was launched this past thursday and will be an every Thursday affair.  The venue is centrally located in Fort Myers, so for those who want to listen to great EDM and don't want to spend 1/2 a tank to get to Naples, then this is your new destination.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

Well for starters we play and support underground music, all genres, all night long.  We are all about support local DJ's, and helping quality promoters throw successful events.

WHO WE ARE?

DJ TELSO -- Has been DJ'ing underground music since 99' and has been on some of the biggest events in SWFL, for example "THE RABBIT HOLE" "DAYGLOW" "REALITY CHECK" and the list goes on and on... You can expect to hear anything from House to Techno, Trance to Breaks :-)

DJ BRAZIL -- Is a magician when it comes down to House/Tech, he has played in many clubs in Miami and has DJ'ed along Miami's very own PATRICK M.  BRAZIL is a crowd pleaser, knows how to keep a dope vibe alive, and can play any style of music seamlessly.
